ALL ABOARD! Since opening it’s big ol’ tram doors earlier this year, this crafty little hideaway has been booked solid! Situated behind the super lush Lauriston Forest, it’s only an hours drive from Melbourne CBD, making it the perfect weekender.
With a HUGE “retro luxe” overhaul, they don’t call this 1920’s beauty the “Jean Claude Van Tram” for nothin’! Packed with all the creature comforts, Mr Van Tram has both an outdoor and indoor fireplace (with a cheeky split system for the trying months of winter and summer) AND a Tiki bar! Kitted out with vintage, op shop finds – the owner, Angela, describes her beloved tram as a no frills, rustic ramshackle that’s unique, fun and a great place to switch off and just RELAX. With incredible ratings and reviews, we can’t wait to jump on board (like what I did there?)! It’s on the list!

Alllrighty, where do we even begin with this eclectic, bohemian PARADISE!? This place is a WHOLE lotta’ fun, yet incredibly laid back and child friendly. Umm and did I mention it’s also across the road from the beach and only a 30 min drive to Port Douglas? Earlier this year, Pheebs and Al packed up their families and lugged them on a plane to Cairns for a sneaky little easter break, and OH BOY did they have ALL of the fun! The hosts of this AH-mazing Airbnb are super friendly and with an eclectic styling aethetic that’s sure to make you wanna travel the world, this is one place that’s definitely worth the drive.

Now, does this adorable seaside casa look a little familiar? For those of you thinking “Hey yeah, where have I seen this little slice of peninsula paradise before?” Well it just so happens that we shot our “Love Shack” collection here and it’s fair to say we’d be back in a jiffy. Situated only a short drive from the very popular Sorrento on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, you’ll get best of both worlds – relaxing and secluded yet close to all the good pubs, cafes and of course, BEACH!
