On 1 November 2025, we opened our first ever Sage x Clare store along Victoria's beautiful Great Ocean road in Lorne.
It has been a long-term dream of ours to open a cute little shop that brings together all the things we love in one space but that dream was always at some point "in the future".
Then, out of nowhere, we stumbled across the most magical place and our imagination just ran wild. We could see the whole thing unfolding in our mind’s eye. A store that felt like a treasure trove. A place to stop and breath. A place that you wander into and immediately feel a sense of home. Inspiration and awe wash over you as you breath in the energy of the space. Everything is curated, nothing is just “filler”. A store made from reclaimed timber, full of beautiful Sage x Clare pieces and hand selected brands that inspire us. A full lifestyle concept … a sort of peek into the vision board of Phoebe's life.
The beautiful Lorne community have welcomed us with open arms and we really couldn't imagine a better place to open our first ever store. Lorne is the perfect mix of sparkling Australian coastline, rugged Australian landscape and warm people who appreciate a slower pace of life.

Located just steps from Lorne Beach and the iconic Great Ocean Road, our store serves the vibrant communities of Lorne, Anglesea, Apollo Bay, Aireys Inlet and the wider Surf Coast Shire. We're proud to be part of the thriving Lorne shopping precinct alongside unique boutiques, cafes and restaurants making this coastal village a destination.
Local Tip: Combine your visit with a day at Lorne Beach, a walk through Teddy's Lookout or lunch at one of the many excellent cafes along Mountjoy Parade.

We're open 10am - 5pm Monday - Saturday and 10am -4pm on Sundays most weeks of the year. For the most up to date information on our store opening hours, make sure you check out the opening hours for Lorne listed at the top of this page or on Google. Store hours can vary or be extended at certain times of year.

Yes! There is 1 hour parking out the front of the store, off The Great Ocean Road. You can also find parking off Clissold Street.

Our Lorne store stocks a curation of our latest releases, best sellers and favourite pieces from other brands we love. Yes! Our store is wheelchair and pram accessible. While there are a few tighter areas throughout the space, our team is more than happy to assist you at any time, please just let us know if you need a hand.

Yes! We have a gorgeous arched doorway fitting room with a floor to ceiling door. If you prefer, we also have a curtain that can make the space feel more open. You'll have complete privacy as you try on our beautiful apparel.

We offer refunds and gift cards on most items if you decide your latest purchase is just not for you. Below is a list of what we look for in approving a Change of Mind return.
- Returns are accepted within 15 days of purchase.
- We offer refunds, gift cards or exchange for change of mind
- As always for Change of Mind returns, items must be unwashed, unused and in original packaging with tags intact
- Refunds will be processed within 3-5 days back to the original method of purchase (credit card. etc) but may take a few extra days to be received into your account.
- Please note, if your Return arrives in a condition that does not meet our Returns Policy, we will be required to reject your Return. Our team in store will advise if this is the case.
Faulty Returns: We take care to ensure that all items in store are in great condition, but if you have unfortunately received a faulty or defective item, here's everything you need to know:
- Items must be brought into store for the team to assess
- Where we deem the item to be faulty or defective, we will offer either a repair, exchange or refund.
- When assessing faulty items, we will always act in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
- Refunds will be processed by the team in store back to your original payment method, but please note they may take a few extra days to be received into your account.
Return Exclusions: - Gift cards
- Any discounted items, or items as part of any other sale event including flash sales like Black Friday or Boxing Day.
- Any item purchased from a Sage and Clare independent stockist, or from our online store (www.sageandclare.com) please contact the store directly or our Customer Care Team if you wish to return
- Any item that has been used, slept in, worn or not in original condition with tags intact
- Any items damaged due to unreasonable wear and tear
- Twiggagerie range, these are custom made items and can only be returned due to fault.

There are some great accomodation options in Lorne right in the centre of town like the Mantra, the Cumberland Resort and the Lorne Caravan Park with space for caravans and cabins. There are also a heap of beautiful places available on booking platforms like Air BnB, Stayz and Booking.com in Lorne and in neighbouring areas like Apollo Bay, Torquay, Geelong, Airy's Inlet and Queenscliff.
