About the Author

Written by Sandhya Parappukkaran:
Sandhya Parappukkaran left her job as a food technologist so she could put her feet up and read. Then she rediscovered her passion for children's books. Her stories are inspired by her multicultural experience and include scrumptious food from her Kerala Indian heritage. Sandhya resides in Brisbane, Australia, with her family.

Illustrated by Michelle Pereira:
Michelle Pereira is an illustrator who spent her childhood in Nairobi, Kenya, and now lives in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Communication Design and became a professional illustrator after a somewhat extended, but enjoyable, stint of bar work. She has worked with a range of clients, including Penguin UK, Netflix, the New York Times and Marie Claire. Her work has won and been shortlisted for numerous awards, including the 2022 CBCA Award for New Illustrator and the 2024 Ena Noel Award.

  • $10 standard flat rate shipping for orders under $150 AUD.
  • $15 express shipping.
International shipping:
  • New Zealand: we offer free DHL shipping for orders over $250 NZD.
  • New Zealand: shipping with DHL is $25 for orders under $250 NZD.
  • North America: shipping with DHL is $39 for all orders.
  • Europe + United Kingdom:  shipping with DHL is $49 for all orders.
  • Rest of world: shipping with DHL is $59 for all orders.

Dispatch times for standard delivery are usually 2-5 business days from order placement and 1-2 business days for express delivery.

Returns:
  • Full priced items are eligible for Australian (domestic) returns within 15 days of the shipping date from our warehouse. For international orders, returns are accepted within 30 days of the shipping date from our warehouse.
  • Once you submit your return, please ensure you post within 14 days or your return request will expire. 
  • For Australian (domestic) returns, full priced items are eligible for exchange, gift card or refund (refunds are processed minus shipping cost).
  • For international returns, full priced items are eligible for gift card or refund. Exchange is not available for international returns.
