Our bath mats are lovingly hand tufted, making them full and lush.
This does mean that they require a little extra love and care…
- Wash them separately and in a wash bag or pillowcase with a mild eucalyptus based detergent. Please note that these pieces are prone to shedding in their first few washes.
- To fluff them up after a wash, give them a shake, tumble dry on low.
- Our bath mats don’t have a rubber/non-slip backing, however the weight of the tufting provides a beautiful base!
- Please ensure these beauties are hung between uses, either on a towel rail or over a shower rail with lots of airflow to help them dry!
- We suggest emptying your washing machine and dryer filter before and after washing/drying your Sage x Clare Bath Mat.
- All of our Bath Mats are hand made with a whole lotta love.
- One of the best things about our Nudie Rudie Bath Mats is that each letter is created by a different artisan. Each bath mat is passed down a production line and there is one person responsible for creating each letter, so it takes 10 magical artisans to create each Nudie Rudie Bath Mat!

Australian (domestic) shipping:
- We offer free standard shipping for orders over $150 AUD.
- $10 standard flat rate shipping for orders under $150 AUD.
- $15 express shipping.
International shipping:
- New Zealand: we offer free DHL shipping for orders over $250 NZD.
- New Zealand: shipping with DHL is $25 for orders under $250 NZD.
- North America: shipping with DHL is $39 for all orders.
- Europe + United Kingdom: shipping with DHL is $49 for all orders.
- Rest of world: shipping with DHL is $59 for all orders.
Dispatch times for standard delivery are usually 2-5 business days from order placement and 1-2 business days for express delivery.
Please note: import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Returns:
- Full priced items are eligible for Australian (domestic) returns within 15 days of the shipping date from our warehouse. For international orders, returns are accepted within 30 days of the shipping date from our warehouse.
- Once you submit your return, please ensure you post within 14 days or your return request will expire.
- For Australian (domestic) returns, full priced items are eligible for exchange, gift card or refund (refunds are processed minus shipping cost).
- For international returns, full priced items are eligible for gift card or refund. Exchange is not available for international returns.
- For international returns, please choose carefully as you will need to cover the cost of return shipping regardless of whether you are seeking a refund or store credit.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this bath mat deserves a public service announcement. I bought it thinking I was splurging on something luxurious. It was expensive, beautiful, and marketed as a premium product. But the moment I unboxed it, fluff started shedding everywhere. Not a little. A blizzard of fluff.
It sticks to your feet, your clothes, the floor. Every day feels like I’m cleaning up after a shedding animal. I contacted customer service and they brushed me off with, “Its normal. It’s like the bath mat getting a haircut.” Seriously? They told me to just shake it out, but it creates a massive mess and gets all stuck in the tassles too.
A $80 mat should not need to be vacuumed or a lint rolled constantly to maintain. I understand this is a handmade item but it should have more structural integrity and not just dismissed as how the item is. I regret this purchase completely. If you’re thinking about buying it, don't. I wish customer service would've been more helpful.

As a smaller business, we pride ourselves on assisting our customers wherever possible and this often includes seeking extra clarity around product care as well as providing as much information as we possibly can! It is never our intention to feel that you have been brushed off or concerns ignored.
Our bathmats are lovingly handcrafted, and because of the techniques used, some shedding can naturally occur at first. This typically eases with use and a few washes, and we do our best to flag this in our product descriptions so our customers know what to expect. That said, if the shedding hasn’t improved over time, it might be a sign of a fault so definitely reach out to the team.
