Lottie Tassle Blanket

A playful blanket for an interior that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Our Lottie Tassle Blanket is aspirational in its incorporation of experimental design and artisanal techniques. A variety of mediums have been used to produce a blanket that is as stylish as it is flirtatious.

The concept began with reference to geometric Moroccan tile design. A fresh approach was taken here, with a linear repeat selected and printed across the front of the blanket. Of course, we’ve haven’t just stopped there! Arrows of contrast blush embroidery complete the front and give character to the reverse side of our double-layered Lottie Blanket, giving you the option of using both sides to full effect. Printed blush tassles along both ends form the final embellishments to this blanket, taking you from siesta to fiesta in an instant.

Made from a textural, slub cotton with soft-hand feel, our Lottie Blanket is a standout in the collection.

How am I made?

For a pattern that looks simple, this throw has been screen printed by the hands of our incredibly talented artisans. This time-honoured technique begins with the making of screen panels, with a different screen required for each individual colour in the design. Once the panels have been made, the running fabric is then printed by hand, panel by panel and colour by colour.

Our playful tassles have been developed from our signature spot fabric found in our new season bedlinen and incorporate all the soft hues of the season. Also made from hand screen printed fabric, the cotton is crafted into strips and spun with teal thread to form the tassles.

The preservation of this practice is one that we’re passionate about and creates a livelihood for artisans who increasingly compete with the advent of modern machinery.
