JOB TITLE: WHOLESALE SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

JOB TYPE: FULL TIME

HOURS: 38 HOUR WEEK

SALARY: BASE SALARY PLUS COMMISSION

REPORTS TO: ALISON LEWIS (AL), GENERAL MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Wholesale and Trade Sales Account Manager is to develop strategies to contribute to the growth of the wholesale and trade channels at Sage x Clare. They are responsible for identifying and converting new account opportunities and to improve and develop sales numbers.
They will manage the relationship between wholesale and trade customers and Sage x Clare through regular calls, emails, visits as well as focusing on customer satisfaction and care. The role includes assisting Sage x Clare wholesale and trade customers with complaints and questions, accurate information about products and services, returning emails and phone calls in a timely manner and fostering positive ongoing relationships.

 KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interact with wholesale and trade customers on a daily basis, respond to their questions and guide them to the appropriate outcome
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude to customers at all times
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction by identifying and assessing the customer needs
  • Provide excellent customer service through various channels including in our showroom, email, phone, mail, social media and on location and respond promptly to inquiries via these channels
  • Exercise independent judgement to meet the customer’s needs while considering the needs of the business
  • Help the customer understand the products, answer questions about their concerns, recommend products as alternatives and provide suggestions to compliment existing products
  • Have a thorough understanding of our products, pricing and delivery information so that questions can be answered accurately and efficiently
  • Manage large amounts of incoming emails and calls and go the extra mile to engage the customer.
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
  • To attend, plan, schedule and organise wholesale and trade campaigns and manage bi-annual trade shows, this may include interstate travel
  • To expand and grow the portfolio of stockists by identifying additional retail and trade opportunities, locally and interstate, and pro-actively pursuing these leads
  • Highly organised and able to work autonomously
  • Team player with strong problem-solving approach and can deliver a high standard quality of work
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and personable with strong values and integrity a must

  • Bring new ideas to the table and strive to achieve goals and set weekly/monthly/seasonal sales targets
  • Convert sales on online customer enquiries and new customer sign ups
  • Maximising sales with excellent product knowledge and upselling
  • Pro-actively contacting customers, informing them of new arrivals, trade shows, sales and seasonal offerings
  • Invite customers to the showroom, make appointments with them at their shop/office or assist them with ordering through our website.
  • Work with in-house Graphic Designer to create and disseminate wholesale EDMs
  • Manage and keep up to date wholesale portal on Shopify
  • Providing feedback to management on bestsellers and consumer feedback
  • Producing sales reports and participating in weekly team meetings
  • Possess good people skills and have an outgoing, positive, bubbly personality
  • Proven sales experience with ability to negotiate and create win-win outcomes for stockists and the business
  • Have the ability to build strong, long-term relationships with customers and manage stakeholder relationships on a daily basis
  • Demonstrate great organisation, planning and time management skills while remaining flexible and proactive in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to make difficult decisions and phone calls where required while maintaining customer relationships and the needs of the business

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with unloading, counting and stocking items in warehouse
  • Pick, inspect, pack and ship items according to packing guidelines
  • Perform stocktakes bi-annually on all products in the warehouse
  • Assist with warehouse sales, including working weekends where required
  • Maintain general tidiness of warehouse and office areas
  • Engage on Sage x Clare social media posts with comments and likes
  • Assist with photoshoot production, coordination and style assist duties where required. Note: This may involve interstate/international travel
  • Assist with inputting products, descriptions and pricing into Shopify
