Production & Graphic Design Assistant Job Description

REPORTS TO: OPERTIONS MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Production & Graphic Design Assistant position is primarily to support Sage x Clare’s Textile & Graphic Designer in the production process for all products and assist with the creation of graphics used in marketing activities. The role will also assist the team with other projects and work as needed, assigned by Operations Manager.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Graphics:

  • Ability to produce timely designs related to digital and non-digital assets including EDM's, website, stationery/packaging or similar
  • Set up EDMs and schedule, website assets, videos and GIF’s
  • Assist with the execution of creative deliverables across all digital channels
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing team to deliver digital campaigns in line with business objectives
  • Assist with new product set up on website

Production:

  • Handle research tasks related to materials & techniques as needed under direction of Designer
  • Prepare new product spec sheets for new collections
  • Raise purchase orders (POs) for new products & reorders once designs & order quantities are approved
  • Manage lead times with Production Team in India for on time delivery of product
  • Coordinate the sampling process to ensure samples arrive on schedule
  • Coordinate of all shipping activity in line with the production calendar and partnering with shipping agent to ensure the timely delivery of samples and product into our warehouse
  • Assist with inputting products, descriptions and pricing into Shopify

  • Accuracy and time management are critical to success - managing and keeping up with changing collection details whilst delivering the result required both accurately and on time.
  • This role requires clear communication (written & verbal) both internally and externally, fostering relationships with all internal and external stakeholders as well as tracking all changes that occur throughout product development.

  • Demonstrate high attention to detail, ability to utilise systems to find solutions
  • Attend team meetings to keep up to date on business initiatives, key focus areas, etc. to be able to respond to customer queries on social media

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • 2+ years graphic design experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in working with Mac + Adobe Creative Suite; including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Experience with Shopify strongly preferred
  • Experience developing graphics for email & social media marketing
  • Textile design experience and/or textile production knowledge is a major bonus

  • Prior experience in homewares or apparel industry will be highly regarded

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain general tidiness of warehouse and office areas
  • Assist with unloading, counting and stocking items in warehouse during high volume periods
    • Pick items according to the Order from the warehouse
    • Inspect items to ensure they’re not damaged or faulty and adjust inventory accordingly
    • Pack item according to specified packing guidelines
    • Ship and fulfil customer orders in Inventory system, inputting appropriate tracking numbers and links
  • Perform stock takes bi-annually on all products in the warehouse
  • Assist with warehouse sales, including working weekends where required, bump in and bump out
  • Assist with seasonal events including trade show bump in and bump out where required
  • Work trade shows where required including weekends and interstate
  • Engage on Sage x Clare social media posts with comments and likes
  • Assist with photoshoot production, coordination and style assist duties where required. Note: This may involve interstate/international travel
  • Other duties & projects as needed by the business
