Our new season roundie serves up sweet hand-knitted crochet and a block printed ditsy reverse for a vintage-inspired accent.

Like a trip down memory lane, our Nancy Crochet Cushion is a nostalgic nod to the aesthetic of times gone by. This season we explore much-loved crochet, a technique that we've reimagined for homes today. The front side of this cushion serves up a hand-knitted crochet weave for the ultimate in texture and retro appeal.

The contrast reverse is constructed from a hand-drawn print, exclusively designed by Sage and Clare, showcasing a ditsy daisy pattern reminiscent of past eras and more innocent times. An array of seasonal hues, such as mustard, coral, orange and dark turquoise, are featured in this small scale floral for a fresh and renewed take on a much-loved favourite.

Featuring a zip closure and comes with high quality feather insert. Mix and match with our offerings this season for a lesson in bohemian, vintage living.

How am I made?

The front side of our sweet Nancy Cushion has been knitted by hand in villages renowned for this type of handwork.

The reverse has been block printed by hand in our ditsy daisy pattern - the most intricate print we've done to date. This time-honoured process begins with the initial carving of wood blocks - a practice that requires incredible skill and precision. A different wood block is required for each and every colour! The pattern is then printed block by block until the running fabric is complete. The practice of block printing, particularly in prints as detailed as this one, takes extensive time and is one we’re proud to support for the preservation of this tradition and livelihood of our artisans.
